Frequently Asked Questions

Are we allowed to have a runner for the ceremony?

Unfortunately, no. We have so many weddings during our season, a runner would put too much wear on the lawn.

Can we have our pictures taken inside the Patterson House?

Yes, with prior permission through the City of Fremont.  Please call Randy Hees at 510-791-4196 for more information.  Of course, you are welcome to take as many pictures as you would like around the exterior of the house without permission.

Can we make adjustments to your menus?

Our menus can be customized to your desires, within our kitchen and service capacity.

When do we get the opportunity to taste your food?

Typically, we have Bridal Faires in April and October.  All brides and grooms that have reserved Ardenwood for their special day are invited.

What do we do in case of rain?

With 4-5 days advance notice, we can contact one of our contracted tenting vendors and arrange to have the reception and/or the ceremony areas tented. Prices vary depending on size and type of tenting you request.

What about rehearsals for the ceremony?

Your rehearsal is included in the facility use fee and will be scheduled for the Thursday before your wedding day.  They are scheduled for 1 hour.

When should the music end?

We highly recommend that your music ends ½ hour before the end of your rental period.  This allows enough time for your guests to give their best wishes to you and leave for the evening before your rental time is up.

Vendor meals?

All vendors, their staff and guests who stay during the reception must be included in your final guest count for all food and beverages.

Can I take any leftover food or beverages?

Local Health Department rulings regarding proper refrigeration and sanitation prohibit you from taking any food or beverage from Ardenwood, with the exception of your wedding cake.

When can my vendors set up?

Your rental period includes your vendor set up and take down time. However, if you need to add additional time you may do so at an additional cost.
